‘Wild Wisewood’

Wisewood exists on the edge of the hills, a border between rural and urban. It is an enchanted place where objects made from the timber of the felled street trees come to life, sprouting animal legs, feet, ears, horns, scales and feathers.

This is an idea we'd like to develop with local residents into a story or legend that will exist in the community for generations to come.

The designs for street furniture will be robust, with a clean and simple feel that shows off the natural shapes of the tree trunks. The timber will be clearly recognisable as trees, perhaps simply sliced vertically along the grain and finished to a high standard - all with a slightly surreal twist!

Wisewood Fun Day
Saturday 2nd July

We had a great response to the design and locations of the proposed artworks and street furniture in Wisewood. There was a great turnout to the event so we managed to speak to a lot of the residents.
